Trump announces Greenland oil and gas exploration plan

US President Donald Trump announced that "massive" oil, gas and mineral exploration is set to begin in Greenland, calling it "our Greenland" in a Truth Social post. The statement comes four weeks after the US, Denmark and Greenland signed a security agreement to bolster American military presence on the island. Greenland has banned new oil and gas drilling since 2021, and no report confirms that exploration has actually started.
