Ex-banker arrested for alleged insider stock trading

Thursday, 22 April 2010

Tokyo prosecutors Thursday arrested a former Aozora Bank employee for alleged insider stock trading and raided his house and other points in Tokyo. The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office suspects Takeshi Matsubara, 49, of having traded shares in an animation production company in 2006 and 2007 based on his knowledge of the firm's unpublished plan to make a private equity issue, sources close to the matter said.
