Time Warner Cable ready to dump weak networks

Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt warned that he would do away with weaker-performing cable networks as the costs TV giants pay to carry channels outpace increases passed on to consumers, the Los Angeles Business Journal reports. Since 2008, Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) has seen per-customer programming costs increase by 30 percent and experienced a 15 percent uptick in video services.
