Tourism officials ready for Hawaii to shine during PGA Tour stops

As the northeastern United States digs out from one snow storm and prepares for another, the timing is perfect for Hawaii to benefit from hosting the first PGA Tour event of the season. “Events like the PGA Tour’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua highlight the beauty of our Hawaiian Islands and demonstrate our ability to host world-class sporting events on an international stage,” Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, said in a statement. “Beyond golf,…
