Aldi to open first 9 Houston-area stores next week

Nearly a year after discount grocer Aldi Inc. first said it would open 30 stores in the Houston area, the first round of those locations are set to open next week. The first nine stores will officially open on April 11. Grand opening celebrations and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the stores will be held at 8:45 a.m. on the following dates: • April 8: 2009 S. Mason Road in Katy, 11510 Broadway in Pearland and 2228 FM 2920 Road in Spring • April 9: 10402 Highway 6 South in Sugar Land, 6900 FM…
