Billionaire Tilman Fertitta closes on $2.2B deal to buy Houston Rockets

Local billionaire Tilman Fertitta officially owns the Houston Rockets and Clutch City Sports and Entertainment, the NBA team announced in an Oct. 6 press release. The NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved Fertitta as the Rockets’ new owner on Oct. 5.
