Disney/ABC begins layoffs

The Walt Disney Co. started issuing pink slips to employees in the Disney/ABC Television Group Thursday. The move was expected, having first been reported in August, though the number of workers affected is smaller than the 300 layoffs previously reported. Instead, 100 to 200 will lose their jobs.
