Election 2017: Narrow lead for Denver 'green roof' measure

An initiative that would require many buildings in Denver to feature environment-friendly "green roof" amenities was clinging to a narrow lead late Tuesday in the 2017 election. At 8:30 p.m. MT, with 83,000 votes counted, the "yes" vote was ahead by about 2-1/2 percentage points. Additional vote results were expected by 10 p.m. Initiated Ordinance 300 was a citizen initiative effort led by Brandon Rietheimer, who said he was inspired by similar measures in other cities, such as Toronto and Chicago.  The…
