Viral pop song Gangnam Style by South Korean rapper Psy has become the first video to reach one billion views on YouTube

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Record-breaking dance track Gangnam Style has not only earned South Korean rapper Psy millions of sales, millions of 'Likes' on Facebook and an entry of the title in the Collins Dictionary as one of the phrases of the year - the video has become the first to rack up more than a billion views on YouTube.

The music video achieved its unprecedented popularity within just five months since it was released on YouTube in July.
