Monday, 20 March 2017 The Associated Press reported Monday Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Manila was unable to stop Beijing’s efforts to build a Chinese environmental monitoring station in disputed waters off the northwest Philippines. Still, Duterte warned when the Chinese “start to tinker with the entitlement” he would initiate an arbitration ruling July 12 which would invalidate China’s claims in the South China Sea, the report said.
