Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte Warns China Against Offshore StationThe Associated Press reported Monday Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Manila was unable to stop Beijing’s efforts to build a Chinese environmental monitoring station in disputed waters off the northwest Philippines. Still, Duterte warned when the Chinese “start to tinker with the entitlement” he would initiate an arbitration ruling July 12 which would invalidate China’s claims in the South China Sea, the report said. The AP said Duterte’s actions would be triggered by Beijing tapping into the offshore resources. “We cannot stop China from doing this thing, the Americans were not able to stop it,” Duterte said during a news conference. “Sir, what will I do?
