Shares in social network giant Facebook were set to commence trading on NASDAQ Friday as the company stages a record-breaking IPO

NEW YORK -- Facebook has priced its shares at $38 ahead of its highly anticipated IPO on Friday. At that price, the 8-year-old social network firm is valued at $104 billion. Facebook stock was set to trade on NASDAQ under the symbol FB [NASDAQ:FB], after the company raised $16 billion for itself, making it the most valuable tech IPO in history.

Following the IPO, Facebook Founder & CEO Mark Zuckerberg, 28, will hold 503.6 million shares, or about 31% of the company. That stake is worth $19.1 billion.
