The Project Management Professionals (PMPs) at Cheetah Learning (http://www.CheetahLearning.com) are celebrating the company’s 12th anniversary by releasing a new video that explains how Cheetah’s innovative “Accelerated Learning” approach helped potential project managers prepare for, and dramatically increase their pass rate of, the certification exam.

A dozen years ago, Cheetah Learning (http://www.CheetahLearning.com) introduced the concept of “Accelerated Learning,” and the world of Project Management has never been the same. Now the company is celebrating its 12th anniversary by releasing a video that helps put its contributions to the training of project managers into perspective.
The video is available at a link under the heading “Cheetah Learning Celebrates 12 Year Anniversary! Watch Our Anniversary Video!” at http://www.CheetahLearning.com
Prior to Cheetah’s “Accelerated Learning” method, participants typically studied for six months to prepare for the Certification Exam to get their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. The fail rate: 40 percent.
In 2001, Cheetah Learning introduced “Accelerated Learning.” The intense, yet entertaining, classes only took four days; the increase in the number of people who passed the Certification Exam was dramatic: An average of 98 percent.
“Our students rapidly expand their success story by using accelerated learning techniques combined with project management skills,” explains Cheetah’s CEO and founder Michelle LaBrosse. “The goal of Cheetah Learning is to help millions pursue visions much larger than they have ever dreamed possible for themselves, and lead inspiring and fulfilling lives.”
For its efforts, the Project Management Institute (PMI) recognized Cheetah Learning with a Professional Development Provider of the Year Award. Plus, Cheetah has maintained the highest audited continuous pass rate for 10 years.
“We deliver a variety of programs in the project management field from helping people pass a very difficult certification exam for project managers in less than a week to getting hundreds of people up to speed on doing fast projects in less than a day,” Cheetah’s CEO said.
LaBrosse has a BS in Aerospace Engineering, making her a genuine “rocket scientist.” She also has an MS in Mechanical Engineering. As a single mother of two, she grew Cheetah Learning into a multi-million dollar powerhouse in the Project Management education field, a competitive arena with 1,600 providers who are registered with PMI.
The Institute recognized LaBrosse’s accomplishments by naming her one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Project Management in the World. In addition to founding Cheetah, she is a popular speaker and author. Her books “Cheetah Negotiations,” “Cheetah Project Management” and “Cheetah Know How,” are available at http://www.cheetahlearning.com/LinkTracker/track.asp?id=257
Why did LaBrosse choose the cheetah as a symbol? Simple: Cheetahs hold the distinction of being the world's fastest land animal. How fast can they go? From zero to 60 mph, in just three seconds.
By comparison, a Ferrari California takes a full second longer, a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 makes it in 3.7 seconds and a Porsche 911 Turbo in 3.4 seconds. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, which costs about a quarter-million dollars, matches the Cheetah’s 3-second sprint.
Here’s a sampling of what Cheetah Learning exam-takers say:
"Well, not even two weeks after receiving my PMP certification, I got a job offer. They were looking for a PM consultant with PMI certification and that’s the only reason I got the interview!” – T.P.
“I was looking at many different providers, and decided to go with Cheetah Learning because the company was founded by a rocket scientist. They better know how to do Project Management! I'm glad I made the choice, because now I'm a PMP.” – J.E.S.
“I really like these on-line classes. I travel quite a bit and it can be difficult to make local PMI meetings or attend local classes. As you know, it is very important to keep the PDUs in order to retain PMP status.” – S.K.
