Minna Canth’s 173rd birthday celebrated with a Google Doodle

Google is celebrating Finnish writer and social activist Minna Canth’s 173rd birthday with a special Doodle. Minna Canth is known for advocating women’s rights and today’s Google Doodle rightfully projects that. The Google Doodle has a picture of Minna Canth sitting in the middle with the female symbol placed to the left. There is a pencil and a pair of scissors as well on the right. Minna Canth is also the first woman ever to receive her own flag day in Finland, which is celebrated on this very day. In addition to this, March 19 also translates as the day of social equality for Finland. Minna Canth with her writing and strong stands for equality led to making Finland the
