Samsung's Bixby AI Assistant to Arrive After Galaxy S8 LaunchSamsung is rumored to be working on its own virtual AI, one that would take on Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa and Microsoft’s Cortana. It has been rumored that the virtual assistant would arrive on Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy S8, but a new report suggests otherwise. The Galaxy S8 will come with a physical button for activating Bixby, located right below the volume rocker on the new phone. According to a report by The Investor, Bixby won’t be available on the Galaxy S8 at launch. Samsung could make the virtual assistant available for Galaxy S8 owners within the first half of this year, well after the flagship is announced on March 29. It seems that Bixby’s smart assistant features won’t be available at least in the early days of the phone’s launch.
