Inslee: Three inside-the-box appointments

Gov.-elect Jay Inslee announced three “Inside the Box” appointments on Thursday, tapping a longtime aide and two experienced Olympia hands for positions in his new administration. Ted Sturdevant, current director of the Department of Ecology, will be the new governor’s executive director for legislative affairs. Before becoming ecology director late in 2009, Sturdevant was Ecology’s government relations director, and headed external affairs operations in the administration of former Gov. Gary Locke. David Postman will leave his post as director of communications for Vulcan, Inc., to become Inslee’s executive director for communications.
