Derby, Kansas -- Shot after shot. Little Titus keeps shooting the ball. Shot after shot keeps going in for the 2-year-old from Derby.
Titus and his dad, Joseph Ashby, will be on the Today Show this week because of all the YouTube attention.
"More than a million hits in this short amount of time? That's crazy," says Conner Frankamp.
Frankamp knows a thing or two about basketball. He is a star at North High School. He's been recruited all over the country.
"Yeah, I could see this little guy getting some recruiting if he keeps it up," explains Frankamp. "He's just tiny right now. But..."
Frankamp's coach, Gary Squires agrees.
"A 2-year-old. Ha! Yes, okay. Maybe," says Squired on the possibility for recruiters looking at the little boy. "I mean we've seen kids in 7th grade get recruited. Conner certainly got a lot of recruiting that's for sure."
Conner Frankamp will play at the University of Kansas next year for the Jayhawks.
And while Titus has a long way to go before any thoughts of D-I basketball, he is certainly getting attention.
Joseph Ashby is Titus father. Ashby is taking a couple days off work from his radio show on KQAM in Wichita to be on the Today Show.
And after the Today Show and all the fame of becoming a YouTube sensation?
"Well, he certainly could have a future in basketball. He just looks like such a natural," says Frankamp.
"The little boy," says Squires. "He's got to get his priorities straight as far as going to school. Taking care of business there. You know. And then he can get working on his game. But for now? What do I think as a coach? Well, look at the little guy. The amazing thing is, at this age, he shoots the ball the same way every time. He's consistent. And in the video he shoots all different sizes of balls and he gets them all to go in. He's just such a natural."
"Where will this young man go to school?" asked Squires.
We explained Titus is not anywhere near the North High School area.
