Grandfather, Grandson Killed at KC Jewish Center: Neither Was JewishA grandfather and grandson were among the victims in a shooting at the Jewish Community Center of Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas, according to the Kansas City Star. The alleged shooter, a man in his 70s, opened fire at the center and at a nearby Jewish retirement home, shouting "Heil Hitler!" as he was arrested. Ironically, neither the grandfather, William Lewis Corporon, nor his grandson, Reat Griffin Underwood, was Jewish.

Three were killed in the attack and several others were wounded. The alleged killer was not from Kansas and used a shotgun in the attack. He had a handgun in his possession when he was arrested, the Star reports.

The grandfather and grandson attended the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, the Star notes, where the senior pastor shared the difficult news with his congregation at Palm Sunday services.
