US pushes UN to follow tougher stance on Iran

United States has urged the UN Security Council to follow in the US footsteps and confront Iran over what it describes as aggressive, destabilising and unlawful behaviour of Tehran in the region. The council met for its monthly debate on the Middle East yesterday, days after US President Donald Trump refused to certify the Iranian nuclear deal, leaving its fate to the US Congress.
