U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday announced a series of projects to promote clean energy as part of efforts to combat global warming, including the building of a joint clean-energy research facility. The U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center will facilitate joint research and development of clean energy technologies by teams of scientists and engineers from the two countries, the White House said in a press release.
