Mitchells lack fizz

Pub group Mitchells & Butlers offered some cheer after a tough year when a final quarter rebound saw it up guidance for annual profits.But the late sales push is not expected to have prevented a steep slide in profits for the year to September 26.Analysts at Deutsche Bank predict that results on Thursday will reveal a 24% slump in underlying profits to �128m as a result of lower consumer spending.
