South African Rand Rallies to Two-Week High as Gold Price Surges to Record

Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The rand advanced to a two-week high
as the price of gold surged to a record and platinum gained for
the first time in three days, boosting earnings prospects for
the world’s biggest producer of precious metals.
