Rafa: Torres is struggling

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admits Fernando Torres is struggling to be fit for Wednesday's clash with Lyon.The striker has been plagued by a groin problem and was substituted in the weekend defeat at Fulham.Benitez said: "We have to take Fernando to Lyon because we don't have too many options, but he is not comfortable. We have to keep working with him and the rest of our injured players."Hughes salutes hero GivenManchester City manager Mark Hughes credited an outstanding performance from Shay Given for earning his side a fortunate draw against Birmingham. Given made a string of outstanding saves and then capped his display by stopping a second-half penalty from Birmingham midfielder James McFadden.Hughes said: "He has been top drawer for the majority of his career and I am very pleased that he is with City."McLeish praise for GivenBirmingham manager Alex McLeish was full of praise for Manchester City keeper Shay Given after the Irishman denied his side the three points.Given produced a number of great saves and also thwarted James McFadden from the spot as they played out a 0-0 draw.McLeish said: "That is why Manchester City paid good money for him (Given). They say great keepers can save you 10 points during a season."
