SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Due to a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine, its availability has varied between health departments.Below is an updated list of H1N1 vaccine availability according to health department and locations.In keeping with CDC guidelines, many clinics have reserved the H1N1 vaccine for:•pregnant women (nasal spray not recommended)•household contacts and caregivers of infants under six months•health care and emergency response workers•people six months to 24 years•people 25 to 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk complications for influenza (nasal spray not recommended)Also check with your local doctor to see if they are administering H1N1 vaccines.Health officials also recommend seeing your physician or care provider to see if you qualify for one of the above risk factors.Bear River Health Department: Logan Office - Flu Mist available.H1N1 flu mist is approved for healthy individuals who: - are from 2-24 years of age- are from 25-49 years of age and live with or care for infants younger than six month of age or are health care of emergency medical personnel. Each school will be assigned a date and time for their respective clinic. Information including the consent form will be sent to every student’s home in the Cache, Logan, and Box Elder school district this week. You can also check the school district websites for clinic information.Central Utah Public Health Department (Juab, Millard, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, Wayne counties): Please call on the morning of the scheduled clinic to verify if the clinic will be held.Sevier County-November 24th from 3-6pm at the Richfield Office (70 Westview Drive, Richfield) December 3rd from 3-6pm at South Sevier High School (430 West 100 South, Monroe)*Vaccine will not be given out the day prior to these clinics to prepare for the clinic. All other days of the week any leftover vaccine from the prior clinic will be given out at a walk-in clinic at the Richfield office. These walk-in clinics will be during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00 pm.*Piute County- Available at the Junction Office during office hours Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm. These vaccines are free, but a ticket is required to receive a vaccination.The Davis County Health Department will be distributing H1N1 vaccination tickets on Friday, 11/20/2009 from 2 – 6 p.m., at the Bountiful Regional Center and the Legacy Events Center.Davis County Health Department has scheduled three H1N1 vaccination clinics. Each person must have a ticket to get a vaccination. Adults may pick up tickets for their immediate household members only. Clinic dates will be set for November 18-20th and for Tuesday the 24th with a half day clinic on and Wednesday the 25th. Participating pharmacies will be offering H1N1 shots on a limited basis. People are encouraged to call their local pharmacy in advanced for appointments. To find participating locations, visit http://www.slvhealth.org/. Walgreens will start offering H1N1 vaccines at 18 Salt Lake City area pharmacies beginning Thursday. Vaccinations will be offered to the priority groups outlined by the CDC on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Walgreens pharmacists in Utah are able to provide immunizations to those age 13 and older. If you reside in Roosevelt, call 435-722-6302 for an appointment. Utah County Health Department: The next Utah County Health Department H1N1 vaccine ticket distribution will take place on Monday, November 23rd. Due to the thanks giving holidays, vaccine will only be distributed next week on Tuesday, November 24th. H1N1 tickets will be distributed starting at 8 am at the Utah County Health and Justice Building in Provo (151 S. University Ave). Wasatch County Heath District: No clinic until first week of December. Weber-Morgan Health Department: H1N1 Clinic TODAY in Morgan. Starts at 3 p.m. at Morgan High School (55 N. 200 East) and goes until 7:30 p.m. or while supplies last (2,000 doses).
