Transcript: This Robot Suitcase May Change The Way We Travel

Navigating through the airport or train station with heavy luggage can be a chore, even when it’s on wheels.

A new product hopes to be a robotic solution for traveler’s concerns.

TravelMate is an autonomous robot suitcase, created to be the smartest luggage you’ve ever owned.

It can roll over uneven ground vertically or horizontally.

The electric motor is strong enough to move while carrying or pushing another bag.

Overpackers no longer need to worry about overweight baggage fees, because TravelMate’s built in digital scale lets users know the bag’s weight.

No more lost luggage!

Travel Mate comes with a built in GPS chip, and can be tracked through an app on your smartphone.

The suitcase can navigate crowds and come to a quick stop if someone moves in front of it.

This TSA approved luggage can travel up to 6.75 miles per hour.

Perfect speed for rushing to a gate!

The removable battery lasts for over 4 hours of continuous use, and has USB ports for charging electronics while on the go.

TravelMate can be pre-ordered on crowdfunding site IndieGoGo for $399 and should be rolling through airports in summer 2017.
