Law enforcement in North Dakota will not make spot checks on vehicles headed into a camp where activists have protested the construction of an oil pipeline. The governor's office announced the news two days after Governor Jack Dalrymple issued an emergency order to evacuate the camp due to an oncoming blizzard. A day before the governor's announcement, state officials stated they would check vehicles for certain supplies such as propane. The move by the governor's office suggests that the state will not actively enforce the evacuation order.
