According to the local sheriff's office, the suspect held customers at the Community First Credit Union hostage for two hours before releasing them. He was taken into custody after their release. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated an initial 911-call reported the robbery around 9 a.m. Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda added that SWAT team members and police negotiators were called in shortly after.
