News video: Tapeworms Found In North American SalmonA new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says some wild Pacific salmon from Alaska was found to be infected with tapeworms, including Chinook salmon, pink salmon, rainbow trout, and sockeye salmon. The Japanese broad tapeworm can cause diarrhea and abdominal pain. The research shows that the salmon caught anywhere on the Pacific Coast of North America may be infected, but the tapeworm larvae can be killed if the fish is cooked thoroughly.
