The trial for a Louisiana law enforcement officer charged with murder has begun.
Derrick Stafford stands accused of murdering a 6-year-old autistic boy after a high-speed chase.
The 33-year-old officer and a deputy city marshal unloaded a barrage of bullets at a car driven by the boy's father on Nov. 3, 2015.
According to the prosecutor, Stafford and his partner were not in any danger when they fired their weapons.
However, Stafford's attorney has placed the boy's fate on his father's actions.
