emergency response efforts. jamiethe carribean has another hurricane at its' doorstep after taking devestating blow from irma. as abc'sdaria albinger shows us -- hurricane jose is now closing in.

"just as some of the first evacuees from the storm- ravaged eastern caribbean are arriving in puerto rico - another punch to the region. the view from the international space station showing hurricane jose barreling down over the same islands devastated just days ago by hurricane irma. the category four storm brushing over barbuda -- its entire population evacuated to nearby antigua - because no structures were left to shield residents from a new blast of fierce wind over 90-miles per hour. the storm lashing the u.s. virgin islands with more rain even as u.s. navy sailors evacuated patients in need of medical care. american tourists there now telling of their brush with disaster as they waited out the storm in a hotel ballroom. sot mike hooper, from kansas city "they had us in the grand ballroom to begin with and they felt it wasn't safe so they moved us downstairs. we looked outside through the docking area and the whole chunk of the ballroom had blown out." the governor getting a bird's eye view of the damage. sot kenneth map, governor of the u.s. virgin islands "we have really horrible destruction." hurricane jose still a threat to st. martin even as the island is reeling from the destruction left behind by irma. the government estimates 70 percent of houses there badly damaged or destroyed. the state department says it has evacuated over 500 american citizens there with us military flights over the last 24 hours. and in the bahamas, an all clear. sot dionisio d'aguilar, bahamas minister of tourism and aviation "even
