((mechell))good evening and thank you for joining us.i'm mechell dixon.mike tank has the night off.a chase tonight...on u-s 41... in terre haute...leads to a shocking crash.and while... the impact...left several people injured---the search for a suspect...continues.it's a story... we first brought you...in a "live report" on social media.but... this story.. is far from over. rebecca brumfield.. is live in terre haute with...the latest... in tonight's top story.rebecca... what can you tell us?((rebecca)) yeah mechell. i'm here live on highway 41, right in from of the vigo doge ram car dealership. here is what we know so far. around 8 this evening, a red pontiac car struck a single motorcycle.. causing that motorcycle to hit its traveling pair. two brothers were riding, traveling north bound towards i-70. we do not have names of the brothers, but i can confirm for you through sheriff greg ewing, that one brother has suffered severe head trauma, and has been lifelined to methodist hospital in indianapolis. the other brother has been transported to regional hospital. sheriff greg ewing did give us some good news, saying both victims were confused but conscious. the brothers were traveling to wisconsin. now let's get to the suspect. here is a photo of a while male, taking from surveillance footage. once he struck the first motorcycle.. he crashed his car just past vigo dodge ram. he then fled on foot. at this time isp and vcsd are currently searching for him on foot. canine units have also been deployed. as far as traffic goes... north bound lanes will be closed until further notice. detours are happening at spring hill and 41. south bound lanes are moving as they should be. reporting live on 41, in terre haute. i'm rebecca brumfield. mechell, back to you.
