Kate Mara hit the red carpet recently at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her new movie 'My Days of Mercy'.
Naturally, there were plenty of fans on hand who wanted a selfie with the actress to share online, and in this exclusive interview, Kate admits that she still finds it all a little strange. 01 Quote: Kate Mara "It's a crazy world we live in where it's instant sort of gratification and instant, everything is online instantly and it's quite surreal." She's starting to come around to the joys of social media, though, thanks to co-star Ellen Page. 02 Quote: Kate Mara "Oh yeah, Ellen actually pressured me into joining Instagram while we were making this movie.
So, um, yeah, 'cause she loves it, and I was sort of secretly on there just following people and doing all that, but she forced me into it.
But it's a fun thing, I think." Mara even treated her fans to a photo from her secret wedding to British star Jamie Bell. 03 Quote: Kate Mara "Yeah, sure, why not?
It's a great way to connect with people." In addition to co-starring, Kate and Ellen produced the new film as well, and Mara found working with her pal incredibly easy. 04 Quote: Kate Mara "It definitely helps.
I mean, it's my first experience in working with someone that I'm this close with, and because we're really honest with each other anyway, so it does make everything that much easier, just being super trusting in each other.
And we connected as friends because we have similar tastes in, not just films but life, so yeah, it definitely makes things easier." The intense romance 'My Days of Mercy' does not yet have a release date, but critics are raving over the performances of these two friends, so keep an eye out for more information soon.
