[ICTJ] On March 31, 2021, the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) upheld the acquittal of former Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo, in office from 2000 until his arrest in April 2011, and Charles Blé Goudé, a former student union leader and the minister of youth in Gbagbo's government.
