Canada imposes new sanctions on Russian officials over treatment of opposition leader Navalny

Canada is imposing new sanctions on nine top Russian officials over what Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau describes as gross and systemic human-rights abuses, including the attempted assassination and jailing of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
