KTA Super Stores opens 1st new Big Island store in nearly 30 years

KTA Super Stores opened a KTA Express in South Kona on Thursday, the Hawaii supermarket chain’s first new store on the Big Island in nearly 30 years. The KTA Express Kealakekua is located in the 13,000-square-foot former Kamigaki Market buidling at 81-6602 Mamalahoa Highway. The two-acre property is owned by the Kamitaki family, who also own HouseMart, Ben Franklin Crafts and HouseMart Ace Hardware stores.
