Canada's largest cannabis expo kicks off in Vancouver

Proactive Investors Saturday, 12 January 2019 ()
It is one of Canada's largest -- and most anticipated -- cannabis events in Canada: the Lift & Co Cannabis Expo. The mammoth trade fair has opened its doors in Vancouver and offers a wealth of opportunities to meet and learn those working in the cannabis industry. It's Canada's first major cannabis event since the legalization of recreational cannabis in October and runs from January 10-13. The event kicked off on Thursday, January 10 with the Lift & Co. Cannabis Business Conference, that featured leaders and experts tackling emerging issues and opportunities affecting the industry. WATCH: Lift & Co platform provides missing link in cannabis: data collection The event is aimed at just about everybody: patients, consumers, industry professionals, and investors and more. Day one was busy -- to say the least, with a reported 1,200 people in line in two hours. From Friday to Sunday, it’s set to feature over 200 exhibitors from around the world, informed speakers, as well as representatives from major companies across Canada and the world. The Expo is hosted by Lift & Co (CVE:LIFT), a company that helping fill a void in the cannabis industry. Lift & Co is a platform that helps Canadians explore, understand, and make better-informed decisions around cannabis through superior information and data. Shares of Lift & Co soared on Friday, up 17% at C$0.40.    -- Photos by Victor Wong -- Contact Katie Lewis at katie@proactiveinvestors.com Follow her on Twitter: @kelewis
