Smokeable medical marijuana approved by Florida governor

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law a policy that will allow for smokable medical marijuana. Senate Bill 182 is the first one signed into law by the new administration during the 2019 legislative session, which runs from March 5-May 5. DeSantis previously requested that the Florida Legislature vote on a bill related to the matter by last Friday or he would drop the state's appeal of a May 2018 decision in Florida Circuit Court that allowed smokable medical marijuana and ruled the ban unconstitutional.
