Ex-NFL star, software execs tackle Spotify-like sports video platform

The idea for Boston-based WePlayed, a new sports tech startup, took root after a catastrophic basement flood in 2015. The owner of the damaged basement in Cape Cod was Paul Zukauskas, a former NFL star who played with the Cleveland Browns. In a moment, all the tapes and DVDs of his games, some dating back to its early football career at Boston College, were gone. “I wanted those moments back,” Zukauskas said.
