An East Side church has received $7.3 million from the state to support an affordable housing apartment building on Genesee Street. Community Hope Builders CDC Inc., an affiliate of Mt. Aaron Baptist Church, is among five local projects funded as part of a $175.4 million round of funding across New York to support 2,185 affordable homes for families, veterans, seniors and the homeless.  The Mt.
