Beverly Hills to be first U.S. city to ban most tobacco sales

Beverly Hills may be home to high-end shops and celebrities, but cigarettes will be harder to find. The city has approved a ban on sales of most tobacco products in an ordinance believed to be the first of its kind in the United States. The city council late Tuesday voted unanimously 5-0 to approve the ban, which is set to begin Jan. 1, 2021.
