Kroger Co. is starting to sell products that contain hemp-derived cannabidiol, better known as CBD. Downtown Cincinnati-based Kroger (NYSE: KR), the nation’s largest operator of traditional supermarkets, is selling only topical products such as lotions, balms, oils and creams that are infused with CBD. It will sell the CBD-containing products at 945 stores in 17 states, Kroger spokeswoman Kristal Howard said. CBD is non-intoxicating and possesses what Kroger calls “promising benefits.” Many…
