Mack Truck workers in Maryland go on strike

About 3,500 Mack Truck workers at five plants went on strike Sunday morning, representatives for United Automobile Workers confirmed. It is the first strike by Mack Truck workers in 35 years. Workers are striking at Mack plants in Baltimore and Hagerstown as well as Jacksonville, Florida; Middletown, Pennsylvania; and Macungie, Pennsylvania. Mack Trucks is part of the Volvo Group, and both Mack and Volvo Trucks North America have headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina. The union said "unresolved…
