The Minneapolis City Council is proposing a ban on sales and manufacturing of animal fur products. Minnesota Public Radio reports on the proposed ordinance, which was introduced last week by council members Alondra Cano and Cam Gordon. The proposal has apparently been in the works for months, but plenty of details have yet to be worked out — like a timeline, or enforcement, or whether existing retailers that sell fur would be allowed to stay in business, Cano told MPR.
