Report: Eventbrite laying off nearly half its staff

Eventbrite, the global online ticketing business used by organizations and companies for events, has reportedly just axed hundreds of positions as the coronavirus pandemic cripples the event business. CEO Julia Hartz let the staff know about the cuts — which amount to 45% of the staff — at a virtual companywide meeting on Wednesday, Protocol first reported.
