Long Island, Mid-Hudson regions on pace to reopen next week, Cuomo says

The regions still need to meet two state requirements, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo said firms can begin construction staging now to prepare. If Long Island and the Mid-Hudson region reopen next week, that would make New York City — the area hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic — the only region of the state that has not started relaxing restrictions.
