Brooks Brothers files for Ch. 11, shutters Union Square location for good

Brooks Brothers, the iconic, high-end menswear company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday, joining a growing list of retailers to do so since the Covid-19 pandemic shuttered stores worldwide. The company will halt its U.S. manufacturing on Aug. 15 as it begins the process to search for a new owner, The Wall Street Journal reports.
