A Berks County accountant was sentenced to 10 years in prison for orchestrating a $60 million Ponzi scheme targeting Amish and Mennonite communities, of which he was a member.  Philip Elvin Riehl, a 68-year-old from Bethel Township, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, one count of securities fraud and one count of wire fraud in February.
