PSC approves $100M credit to Alabama Power customers

A credit is coming to bills from Alabama Power this fall, as the Alabama Public Service Commission approved a $100 million credit to customers. The credit, which customers will receive in October, will be approximately $25 for the typical customer. According to Alabama News Center, the credit is based on lower expenses for the fuel Alabama Power uses at its generating plants due to the pandemic.
