Gov. Mike DeWine has hired an Ohio State University graduate as the state's new health director. Dr. Joan Duwve is expected to start in early October, the governor said during Thursday's coronavirus briefing. She was hired as director of public health in April at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
