Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd has hired Matt Solomon, the former Formula 3® (F3®), Formula Masters China Series (FMCS), and GT3 racer, as an in-house racing specialist. Solomon will contribute his knowledge and experience in professional racing and assist in the development of motorsport projects including the REVV token, F1® Delta Time and an upcoming title based on MotoGP™. He is currently competing in the GT World Challenge Asia Esports Championship presented by Tarmac Works. REVV is Animoca Brands’ recently launched token for official motorsports blockchain gaming and MotoGP is the oldest motorsports championship in the world, featuring the fastest riders and the most technologically advanced prototype racing motorcycles. Animoca is likely to announce at least one additional racing title shortly. Matt Solomon’s professional racing experience Matt Solomon began his professional racing career at the age of 11 when he became Hong Kong’s go-kart Junior Champion in 2007 and 2008. After winning several races and championships in Asia, he became the Grand Champion of the Hong Kong International Kart Grand Prix in 2012, and later he also competed in the CIK FIA World Karting Championship in Macau. In 2013, he entered the Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) and finished as the top rookie with three podiums to his name, and was also selected by Mercedes AMG China and Erebus Motorsport to compete in his first GT3 race. He has raced alongside two-time Formula 1® world champion Mika Häkkinen for rounds 9 and 10 of the GT Asia Series, and together they claimed a historic victory in round 9. Matt continued competing in the 2014 Formula Masters China Series, achieving 5 wins, 12 podiums, and 6 fastest laps out of 18 races to finish second in the final standings.
