Walmart looks to airports for inspiration in store redesign

Walmart is redesigning the look and layout of its stores, focusing on offering a digitally enabled shopping experience and taking inspiration from airports. The new design will be in place at nearly 200 of the company’s supercenters as well as in select health centers and neighborhood markets by the end of the fiscal year and in close to 1,000 stores by next fiscal year, the company said.
